Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers

1st reviewer: The story of finding case mysteries and the sensation of walking through dungeons while solving tricks both feel like the original Persona 5. I thought it was going to be a simple Musou-like title, so I got a shock. The story – where you can experience having a unison of heart with members of the Phantom Thieves reunited after a long time – is done great, and an adventure far away from the urban centre is also good. The battles – which drop features like “Persona Summon” well – are also fun on a max level. 9

2nd reviewer: The overall speedy action is exhilarating. Although there’s an impression that the gap of strength between weaklings and strong enemies is drastic, controlling members of the Phantom Thieves and fighting in a flashy way while sending out Personas are fun. The structure of Jails that you explore inside is elaborate, and being able to quickly move and jump around high places with Phantom Move is also good. I’m glad that it’s not just the battles but the drama parts also get depicted enough. The atmosphere of traveling around places in Japan also feels good. 9

3rd reviewer: The battles become more Musou-like, and the feel of fighting together with friends becomes prominent. Encountering enemy symbols will spawn tons of Shadows; if you hit their weak points you can instantly move to an all-out attack; ShowTimes get unleashed like a Musou attack; the fusion between the two is great. The actions that make use of gimmicks are also cool. The story part is also fulfilling; traveling around places with a camping car during summer holidays is way too fun. 4th reviewer: Although there’s some likeness to Musou, the special movement “Phantom Move” that makes use of environment works effectively as an accent, making the controls very lively with variations. It’s also filled with a lot of Persona 5-esque tricks, so I felt a low threshold that can be enjoyed by even newcomers to action games. The overall presentation is excellent and the tempo is good, and it’s also being made to not be boring. But I’m concerned that the controls get interrupted every time cutscenes get put in frequently. 9
