Dawn of the Monsters Announced
WayForward and 13AM Games have announced the kaiju beat ’em up Dawn of the Monsters for multi-platform release in late 2021.
Developed by 13AM Games (Pirate Pop Plus, Runbow, Double Cross), their fourth title is a giant monster four-player co-op beat ’em up, where you are tasked with defeating the “Nephilim”, a horde of monsters that are destroying the planet. The game features comic book inspired 2.5D visuals with gameplay looking a bit King of the Monsters meets Streets of Rage. “From the moment we laid eyes on Dawn of the Monsters, we knew it had the potential to be something special,” said WayForward’s Voldi Way, whose company will be bringing the brawler to Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X in North America and Europe in late 2021. A Japanese release hasn’t yet been confirmed. Check out a little bit of early gameplay footage.
