Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem

Only Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (known as Super Donkey Kong 2 in Japan) is a worldwide release. The other three titles (Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Super Tennis, and Wild Guns) are exclusive to Japan. Coming soon

New games added to the Japanese Switch eShop include the new Monster Hunter title Monster Hunter Rise which releases on March 26 and priced at ¥7,990 for the standard or ¥8,990 for the deluxe versions, each requiring 8.7 GB. Pre-orders receive exclusive costumes for Palamute and Palico, as well as a Novice Talisman. Also releasing on the same day is the 3D platformer Balan Wonderworld which is priced at ¥6,980 (no file size). Disgaea 6 launches on January 28 for ¥7,920 and is 2.3 GB. Reservations are open for Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise, which is priced at ¥6,380 and requires 2.5 GB. All upcoming Japanese Switch releases are listed here.

Playable demos

Tools Up!

The only demo this week is for the multiplayer party game Tools Up! from All In! Games. Last week’s demos saw the fighting game Zoids Wild Infinity Blast, the visual novel Secrets of Me, the rhythm game AVICII Invector, the train track building game Unrailed!, and the 2D platform action game HARDCORE MECHA. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Killer

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will see the release of the “Worst Generation Pack” this week featuring the pictured Killer, as well as X-Drake, and the newly announced Urouge. The price will be ¥1,320 or ¥3,300 for the “Character Pass”. Untitled Goose Game will also be getting a free two-player update with double the geese and double the mischief! Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party!!!! will see a paid “Hit Song + VTuber Pack” which features 10 new songs for ¥1,650. Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda also saw the 3rd DLC Pack “Symphony of the Mask” for ¥1,000, where you can play as Skull Kid and experience a new story and map.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection

The “Capcom Autumn Sale” sees both Mega Man Legacy Collection titles, both Mega Man X Legacy Collection titles, and Mega Man XI at ¥1,490 each, and the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection at ¥2,490. Other discounted Capcom titles include OKAMI HD at ¥1,490, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Onimusha: Warlords, Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers at ¥1,990 each, and all three Devil May Cry titles at ¥1,500 each. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers was also discounted for the first time and is 28% off (reduced from ¥9,680 to ¥6,969). Visit this page for a full list of every game on sale.
