Yo-kai Gakuen Y Demo Announced
Level-5 have announced that a Nintendo Switch demo for Yo-kai Gakuen Y ～Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu～ will release on August 3 in Japan.
The demo will be available to download at 00:00 JST on August 3 (August 2 at 08:00 PT) with the full game of Yo-kai Gakuen Y ～Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu～ releasing on the Japanese Switch eShop on August 13, priced at ¥4,800 ($45) with a “DX Nyuugaku Set” also releasing priced at ¥6,300 ($59). A digital PlayStation 4 version will arrive at later date. The release of a packaged version and of a western localisation are both currently undecided.
Yo-kai Gakuen Y is described by Level-5 as a “school life RPG” with the aim of the game to become a super popular student, make lots of friends, and solve the mystery behind the school by transforming into a “Youkai HERO” and battle monsters and robots! Hundreds of costumes and weapons will be available to your heroes. Large free regular updates are also planned, and are set to add a multiplayer mode, with more additions to be announced.
Yo-kai Gakuen Y is the latest Yo-kai Watch series game releasing for Nintendo Switch after the release of Yo-kai Watch 4 last Summer and its updated “4++” version in December. Japanese Switch owners can also play a remake of the original game as Yo-kai Watch 1 for Nintendo Switch. It’s currently unknown whether “2” and “3” will come over.
