Taiko no Tatsujin Sells 1 Million
Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version! has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide.
To commemorate the 1 million sales barrier, Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version! players will be able to download a free “I LOVE Game Pack” from next week (July 9) with 10 free songs from video games such as Mr. Driller DrillLand, Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan, Katamari Damacy, God Eater, Tales of the Abyss, Ace Combat X2 Joint Assault, Soul Calibur II, Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, and more.
The one million number includes both physical shipments and digital sales of both the Japanese release and the overseas version which is known as “Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun!” Taiko no Tatsujin Twitter headers and icons (pictured above) will also be available on the official website from July 9 to commemorate achieving a million sales!
In addition, a large scale free update for the game is also scheduled for later this Summer which will add an eSports tournament where 8 players compete for the top position. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription will be required to play and there will also be a Spectator Mode where you can watch other players compete, even if you lose!
