Friday Update:Dr. Rosalina & Dr. Luma Added, And Nintendo Recruiting For New 2D & 3D Games!

● Nintendo’s largely over-shadowed mobile release Dr. Mario World made another attempt at relevancy today with the addition of the pictured Doctors Rosalina and Luma, and the Assistants Star Bunny, Honey Queen, Octoomba, and Bomb Boo. The only further new characters confirmed through datamining are Donkey and Diddy Kong, and it will be interesting to see whether the game will add doctors from outside the Mushroom Kingdom.

Nintendo are recruiting in Japan for both a new 2D action game and a new 3D action game. Check out further details in the relevant posts here and here.

● The underwhelming Pokémon Sword/Shield livestream from Glimwood Tangle has thus far confirmed Morelull, Phantump, Shiinotic, and a mystery Pokémon for the game. We’re cataloguing the announcements here.

● Nintendo opened up the Japanese website for Luigi’s Mansion 3. Check out a ton of new gameplay clips here.

● The Spirits No.1 Final Battle event has now begun in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate where you can fight with spirits enabled. Check out the tournament rules here.

● Game Source Entertainment announced they are publishing Star Wars Pinball for Switch at retail in Japan on 13 December.

● CIRCLE Ent. confirmed that Maitetsu -pure station- will release physically for Switch in the cinematic trailer posted here.

● Secret Members Club members who pre-order Pokémon Sword/Shield will receive a code for Shiny Krabby to use in Pokémon Let’s Go! Pikachu/Eevee until 14 November.

● You can challenge Japanese athletes Katsumi Nakamura and Shuhei Tada in Tokyo 2020 Olympics The Official Video Game for the next couple of weeks. Check out the trailers here.

● Another game announced for 10 October next week is the TPS MilkChoco from GameParadiso. Check out the promo video of this intriguing title here.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition topped the Japanese Switch eShop charts in a week that saw five Dragon Quest titles in the top 10. Check out the full eShop charts for both Switch and 3DS here.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw the limited-time Eerie Wall & Floor Collection available including the silver damask wall and crooked-photos wall pictured here.

Dragalia Lost saw the Summon Showcase, Fractured Futures begin. Check out profiles for the featured adventurers Delphi and Cassandra, and the featured dragon Chthonius, along with the event trailer here.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw another lengthy Feh Channel presentation (video here) which included details of a new event called Hall of Forms which begins on 10 October, and the new Duo Heroes which will debut with Hector: Dressed-Up Duo (with Lilina) in the upcoming Special Hero Summoning Event: A Monstrous Harvest.

● The first day sell-through for Super Robot Taisen V is approximately 20%.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock increased today by +480 (1.19%) in Japan to close trading for the week at 40,970.00 JPY.

● Nintendo Co., Ltd., Creatures Inc., and Game Freak Inc. applied for a Sirfetch’d trademark (as ネギガナイト) and Farfetch’d (as カモネギ).

● The official Medarot (Medabots) Twitter account tweeted out asking followers whether they own a Switch or Switch Lite. At time of posting 77% do, and 9% intend to buy one.
